I think that file may be in gnu-utils. (or else try XFree86*)

If booting from a 3.2RC4 CD, here's how I got it working.

1. bootup with gnu-utils.unc loading, or install it once booted.

2. run "sudo ldconfig" in your terminal
(I'm not sure why the libs that are located in
/usr/X11R6/lib aren't seen in the path, but this helps)

3. Install the qsstv app.

4. click icon or run qsstv in the terminal to start.

If booting from an earlier version of DSL ( 1.4, etc.. )
use the gnu-utils.dsl file as your source of the libXft.so.2 file,
instead of the gnu-utils.unc posted above,
which is only for DSL-3.2 .. Otherwise, same steps.

Running DSL 3.1 installed on hard drive.

I also would like to get QSSTV to run as well as TWLOG and gPSK31. I do have LinPSK running fine so don't know why some Applications run and others don't. Any advice appreciated.

Thank you, the loading of gnu-utils did get qsstv running for me but still having a problem with TWLOG and gPSK31.

I've got to say your work creating .DSL Apps does make life a lot easier than with other Linux distros I've tried.

1. TWLog = Needs to be updated. Tries to run as root.

The latest one uses motif , and I've ran it in DSL as well
with the needed libs for motif and xbae hand-placed in
/usr/lib and /usr/X11R6/lib..
Add the headers for motif and xbae, and compile it yourself
in DSL using the GCC + libs extension.

2. gpsk31 = I get a segmentation fault, if the boxen I'm on
doesn't have sound properly detected and setup.
Otherwise OK fer me.
The latest one now uses gtk2.
Might work with the gtk2 extension?
The "unable to open file" message is an internal app bug,
from what I've seen in it's development history.
Could also use an upgrade (both gtk1 and gtk2 versions)

The gtk1 version is easier on low-ram boxen..
gtk2 is fattening

I'll look into building some new extensions fer these.
