Hey Guys...

My kids love DSL... Infact, they love it so much they shutdown my webserver which is running DSL 3.2 the other day.   Granted they shutdown it down properly by  right clicking and going to Powerdown -> Shutdown...  at least they didn't just turn the power off without shutting it down.  But this is my web server, serving my MySQL DB / PHP forum.  I need it up and going.

Anyways, I am in the need of a screen saver that is password protected.  Do any of you know of any?

I searched the forum for the answer and didn't find any.   Any suggestions????

They're *your* kids, right? Like, you own them, yes? Just tell them to not shut the puter off. If they were mine, I tell you they sure as heck would have their own user account with no kind of system control at all.

Seriously, though...yeah, I think there's an xscreensaver mydsl extension available.

Thanks guys...

Yeah, they are my kids.  The problem is/was my web server along with my others systems are in my garage.  I have a mini computer lab in my garage.  My new web server that I just got up and running with v3.2 and migrated MySQL DB over to is sitting lower where they can turn on th monitor and start using the system.   I left it there in case I needed to test it before I put it up on my rack.  It was my fault.  My kids love computers (Especially my son).  And my son has become very comfortable with DSL.  I am trying to ween the family off Windoze, and so far I am doing good.   We have 2 Windows machines left out of 10 CPUs...   this has been going on now for almost 2 years.  I will probably keep 1 windows machine for kids games.

Anyway they were out in the garage goofing off and one of the shut it down after they got through using it.   They know now not to mess with it and it is off limits, but I just want a screen saver password app to keep them and others off the web server.

Thanks again for your help.
