It is in the repository, 2 versions, I think..
But it is a ham radio app, and not much use to anyone else, since you use it under a callsign.. and with a packet modem. There are no "modules" in it to help in your quest..
You could fire it up, just for grins and giggles... I get my live weather radar, and send/receive messages with it, so it's a cool app anyway..

As far as compiling "anything" in DSL , take a deep breath, and get ready for some deep reading in the forums about adding that capability to this lil' 50MB distro.
For a brief overview, the gcc1.dsl is your gcc, g++, and make utils. the kernelsources.dsl are just that. adding both of these to your install is a good start when your ready to tackle building from sources.
