ok. im bashing my head against a digital wall here. i cannot make Gaim or Amsn work in DSL. i have read countless forums ffrom people who have got these to work, and cant figure out why i am having such a hard time. i was hoping that maybe the nice people at DSL forums could give me a hand
i know that to run Amsn i need to have tcl/tk, which i got, and i do believe that it is the newest version. it is a .tar.gz file which i placed in root. i then loaded the amsn extention via the optional folder, and it simply becomes an icon that sits on my desktop and will not load.
what am i doing wrong? probaly dozens of things i reckon
i know that the Amsn i have is the right one, because i loaded via the MYdsl pannel, so i am blaming this problem on the tcl/tk that i got. if someone can please place a link to a know working tcl/tk i would be greatly appreciative, also any other help would be greatly appreciated (as always_
