Hi, I don't exactly know your hardware specifications, but here one possible idea:
1. try to run cfdisk in 'dsl init 2' mode (type it at prompt); 2. partition your CF-Card in two partition (hda1 bootable and hda5 logical f.ex.); no swaps becaus it could damage your card; 3. once this done, restart DSL off of the CD; 3. then install DSL on the first partition of your CF from your CD-RW; an advice: choose the frugal install, there are a lot of good experiences with it and CF cards.
