I Also Dont Want To Discuss This Topic..

Don't know maybe I am wrong but if it is not open to discussion shouldn't it be moved to rentacoder or guru.

So, if I download the DSL you want (pay my ISP), install to a partition, set it up to your specifications, download all other software, compile, buy the shipping material, ship, worry about any customs that may arise, worry about getting paid in the end, 250 M for $25 = $0.10/M divided by a couple days work should be a few cents per hour.

And I can beat the DSL team at their own game.  Sounds like fun.  I know John and Robert don't put much effort into this distro so they won't mind.

People who are really serious would support DSL, find a way to contact them. I have had no problems getting answers, advice, etc... from these forums.  Why do other people come back and say they had to use someone else and then say they are serious now?

I could probably build the distro that you want but to find the items you want would require some time.  You gave a list that is ambiguous.  Provide specific software titles that work with DSL (and you have tested yourself) and anyone can remaster you a distro.  And you still have to provide drivers for your hardware and if they don't work when you get the CD who's fault is it?  Do I remaster for free?

Getting a driver that works with a distro is alot different than getting a distro to your specs.

robert yahoo mail cannot reach you for some reason. Do not know why. Don't know what happened to that guy that was supposed to build me a driver that worked with this version of dsl but he has dissapeared too. since you have the tools and knowledge will you build a driver for my dsl and send me a copy and post a copy on your website then I can just donate the 75 bucks to you. that will get me on the web and it will be all about learning, learning and learning. Or build a module that adds the stuff I need to compile things on dsl. I think I have read enough to compile it if I could get the  make to work.

AmyS - About the driver-build by 'great guru's' here, forget.

No 'guru' here wishes to rise above mediocrity and do as professionals would.

Guru's would rather insult than help, deny than assist, refuse money rather than make money by helping.

Cripple the users here through proprietary lock-down, in doing, they succeed!

In the beginning software was free, people gave it freely because they were proud of there work and wanted others to enjoy it. Then a man named Gates came along and desided this was wrong and he could make money from the people that wanted a shortcut and did not want to learn how to program themselves. You know how that story ends...Lets not let DSL go this way.

The developers probably have day jobs, if you want something done learn to do it yourself, they had too. The reward is far greater if you have learned along the way. There are lots of people here that will try to help you out when you need it.

Enough on the tears, here is a cold hard fact. In my company developers make over $65.00 an hour and I do not allow them to take a project that is less then $35,000.00 in scope. So if you offer, Please realize what time & knowledge is worth.

Smooth Flights... :)
