Are you actually saying you think only programers should have linux. That atatude is exactly the reason windows is on most machines. Bill gates was right most people do have jobs I have to of them actaully If I have to waite till I learn a programing language to use linux I might as well stick to windows. It works straight out of the box. I am glad you are doing so well with your bussiness but if at the end of the day your programers have to check with you to take on a personal project. I am sorry they had to sell their soul to get the job. Since I think your attitude is the most prevalant attitude out there gates has nothing to worry about. His OS will stay the main os on most computors while linux will stay the niche system.

I was saying (thinking any way) that you should look forward to learning as you go, see it as a challenge. But if you need something now, please understand the time & effort that is needed. After I posted, I had a thought that it would be taken wrong and I am sorry.

For the record what my employees do on there own time is none of my business, I was refering only to in house projects. And we are not doing well at all, today is layoff day.

I just do not want anyone to think compiling my driver compares to a 35000 dollar job. I am willing to learn but dsl isn't evan giving me a chance to do that. If I cannot get online to acces files what am I going to learn. As for as I can tell I do not evan have what I need to compile files in dsl.I cannot find a 2.4.26 kernal to try to add to this distro. Since you have to compile so much on linux I cannot evan guess why they would leave out that option.
