Currently, to see if myDSL has a particular program in it's repository, you have to go to the download site, and click on UCI, UNC, Testing, and two or three other categories depending on the program, such as Network and System for a networking utility, or Games, Applications, and Gtk2 for a game. This is a waste of time, and prone to errors.
I recommend having a simple, downloadable text list of the currently available extensions, such as the one debian provides. See: http://packages.debian.org/unstable/allpackages.en.txt.gz (warning: direct download to large file)
My current solution is a script that downloads all of the myDSL extension lists. Then I can grep them from the command line. It would be much easier to just have to download one file, though.
On a similar note, the myDSL repository could use a re-organization. It's organizational structure focuses too much on format, and too little on content. This lack of organization is most of what forces us to download so many pages in the first place.
