A parched up 0.8 DIllo is not as capable as the one sitting in DSL right now. It does have the ability to brows FTP, which is nice, but SSL has a serious flaw.
SSL in 0.8 uses wget to make secure connections. This seems like a nifty thing on the surface, but it reeks havoc on session identifications, and cookie exchanges. Until 0.8 can do basic logins like Yahoo mail DSL will be sticking with enhanced 0.7.3.
Side note: Links hacked can do quite a bit as well, including authentication, ftp, downloads, application launching, javascript, user agent manipulation, and much more. If you want to make it do page navigation like Dillo turn off the 'K' option.
