1. a linux app. that can save audio DIRECT to harddisk as an mp3

2. a linux app that can save video direct to harddisk as an mp3.

i´ve looked at xmms , the player thats in DSL, and it´s got an diskwriter plugin ,, but HOW does i get it To write direct to disk ?
