|  | Posted: May 11 2004,01:16 |  |  The script doesn't install Firebird on the HD install, but once it's installed, it works just fine.  And once you do an HD install, you can simply do a "sudo dpkg-restore" then edit your /etc/apt/sources.list to comment out the line with Stable and uncomment the line that says Testing.  Then go "sudo apt-get update" then "sudo apt-get install gcc g++ make"  That'll give you everything you're wanting.
