Quote | Do we really need a third PIM in the base iso? |
A third one?... I'm sorry, but what were the other two? I don't recall seeing any last time I used DSL. (v1.0rc2, I need to upgrade)
As for the resources needed to run it, it only takes 1336 kb running on my machine. Fluxbox takes ~9000 kb and Dillo takes ~8000 kb. It was designed for use on PDAs, so it's not like it's sucking up tons of ram. The ram required to use it with Dillo is much less the Firefox, and about the same as running Fluxbox by itself. Monkey uses ~1500 kb. (Keep in mind that these may not be perfectly exact, as I am running from my normal system and not from DSL, atm)
I will admit that opening ports ain't such a great thing. Does DSL have a firewall?
But anyway, what's wrong with wikis? I find it helpful to be able to separate my thoughts and refrence between them. I love using TomBoy, but since thats so huge, I thought I'd suggest this one. Even if it dosen't go in the base, it would be nice to have it as an optional package.
