I 'm very happy with usb boot and i have take off the noisy
hard disk of my dell laptop. It's a "revelation" for me that a an OS can run only with the RAM. No mechanism, no heavy
system, just what nead most of people using internet with
firefox and its extensions for example.
Well i'm very happy but i'worried about the day when a big
problem will arrive to my laptop, i don't need the last poweffulllaptop of the moment,

in fact, Doctor, i'm dreaming of Damn Small Machine laptop
for my future !!

Another way, you can replace HDD with CF (Laptop with a bootable CF). I plan to do it also.

And bamo! New ultra-tiny HD (readable/writeable with swap), I bet its quieter and uses less power and generates WAY less heat than a fullsize 2.5" (heh...fullsize) drive
