AFAIK, the only way to do that is via a kernel recompile, editing the linuxrc file, editing the isolinux.cfg, or issuing a special boot prompt. In the script linuxrc, housed in the minirt.gz file, you can clear the screen and hose tux. You can change isolinux.cfg so the default boot sends out a 'vga=normal,' or you can just type dsl vga=normal at the prompt. I'll leave the kernel compile otions for fresher brains
