I went through xsetup.sh,  it gave two server options and under both,  I chose USB mouse but I still have the same problem.

I have been reading resource after resource but still having difficulty with this.  Any recommendation to help with the learning curve?

Post your config file for Xwindow ( I think its called /etc/Xorg.conf but not certain ... and not on a dsl machine atm so I can't look).  Try using xsetup.sh again & picking PS2 to see if that makes a difference.  To use xsetup.sh I highly recommend that if you're in fluxbox already, hit ctrl-alt-backspace, which drops you to a cmd prompt, then run xsetup.sh ... thats the only way I got my usb mouse to work properly.

Not having the mouse,  I have been doing everything from the ctrl+alt+backspace menu.  Good idea with xsetup suggestion but no luck

I am getting the navigation down but I am lost in terminology,
What specifically is being reffered to by Xwindow?  I tried /etc/Xorg.conf to no avail...

THANK YOU OH SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe you should try the little USB toPS/2 adapter that came with it.
