Depending on which version of Nero you have... with my version5, it's "File / Burn Image", change the dropdown from ".nrg" to "all files", then select the .iso file and burn, preferably at a lower rate (as roadie said, 4x is pretty fool-proof, and doesn't take very long). Oh, and the dilogue box that comes up with all these weird variables etc., I just leave those how they defaulted and click OK...
The key is "burn image". The iso is an IMAGE file, don't try to burn it as a file itself, as it won't work / boot.
