sshd will apparently not run unless you have root password set...i think...that might be part of the trouble. Another way to run it automatically is to add the "ssh" boot option to your bootloader's configuration. I've never used sshd in DSL, so i can't say any of this for sure. |
Thanks for the quick reply. The root password is set and sshd works fine once I have logged in. It was not working when I left it at the command prompt.
I will try it again tonight to double check the problem.
