I saw no evidence that it did. Given that lsmod returned what it did (see my first post), I believe this particular SCSI controller "tricked" DSL into thinking these are IDE drives (it does the same thing to Windows). I deactivated everything I could, but I always get the same result.

I tried DSL-N, boot floppy gave an error ("Boot failed"). I cannot boot from CD (ISOLINUX won't work on this machine).

The errors aren't very verbose. It "just doesn't work".
