No, only copy the files from /usr/lib/grub.., not the full directory structure.
Usually all older windows machines have only one partition, but if yours if different, try writing it as "root(hd" and press tab. It'll list all your hd's and partitions, then look which seems to be the right one. ..oops, should've said setup(hd0,0), as comps count from 0.. That's what you get when tired :P
