There are generic MSDOS drivers for a USB controller card.
  There are also generic MSDOS drivers for a USB Mass Storage device.
  However, if you insert your properly formatted USB pendrive into a newer computer that supports "USB Boot" in the BIOS, then you do not need all of this stuff because the BIOS will translate your USB pen drive into a "C:\" drive for MSDOS.
  I have done this myself with a USB Pen Drive, FreeDOS and a Dell Poweredge 400sc and an Optiplex GX260
