Hey folks-

I run DSL installed on my hard drive. DSL sets the default machine name to 'box'.

I've changed the hostname in /etc/hostname & /etc/hosts

Still, when I run sudo or get a command line login prompt, I see 'box'.

I've missed something, somewhere. Can someone who's done this clue me in?

Thanks,

Mark

mikshaw-

I did a search before I posted- I must have typed a space or something, because I only got 2 posts for my results.

Anyway, the file I was missing was /etc/init.d/knoppix-autoconfig

Thanks,

Mark
