Hi all, I'd like to put DSL on a DOM (DiskOnModule) with 128MB, on an VIA MII 6000E board, but for now, I only was sucessful in booting from CD-ROM or USB-Key (Kingston 256MB).
I simply don't know where to start, I think the HDD install guides I saw here do not apply, as they talk about big partitions, swap files etc. I dont want the DSL to write on the DOM, I want it to behave as if it were on a CD-ROM... And trying to do a frugal_usb on the DOM didn't work that great.
Did anyone already do a bootable DOM installation, and make sure that it does not write on the DOM when it runs, because writing on a flash-based disk like DOM reduces their lifetime.
Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, </Pascal>
