Hi there ! First of all congratulations on thiis great lightweight distribution !!!
Now to my problem.First of all I am a newbie with linux. I installed dsl in my HDD with 2 partitions hda1 and hda5 for swap. After a coldboot I cannot boot the dsl from hard drive. The problem is the fcstab . I get the following error. Your etc/fstab does not contain the fsck passno field. I will kludge etc etc (the notorious fstab issue!! ) . The superblock could not read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem.
I tried the e2fsck -b 8193 with my hda1 but didn't work. What I tried to do is boot from cd , mount the hda1 and as a superuser (sudo su) copy the fstab from the cd to the harddrive . The problem then was that the hda1 was read only (even though I was a superuser) so right now I have no idea what to do. I also tried to check the fstab with vi editor but somehow it seems the file is empty. Any ideas what to do ??
