use cfdisk under dsl (exec as root-sudo) to make your partitions I'd also consider makeing a swap file at the same time as you only have 32mb ram............

trippy,

IF you could get your hands on more RAM for this system,
that would be the "BEST bang for your buck".
DSL does run in 32 megs ram, but you reach limits when running
additional programs, and swapping to disk is  s o   s l o w  !   !

Even another 32 megs would really help..

I have a Compaq laptop, which is a 233, with 32 megs RAM..
It's good for small jobs, dillo, mail, some games, network duties, etc.
I have an IBM laptop with a 233, and 96 megs RAM..
The difference in speed and performance is amazing..
I can do so much more on it , run the bigger apps like firefox, etc.
Much less swapping to disk, and I can run many more programs, with much better useability.

Truly, the processor speed isn't such a big factor,
since you know a 166 is going to chug along slowly anyway..
But I want to express how BIG a difference adding more ram would make to your system's performance..

unfortunatly my system can only take 32 meg of ram -
four sticks of 8.
i created a swap partition of 100 meg, and 2 gig for root.
IF THIS IS WRONG TELL ME.
Becuase im having trouble with xsetup, the fact i cant see any icons BOOT UP SETTINGS POST
To that link you will find more of my problems.

I havent tryed the ne module
but if you could help by giving me the exact commands i need
to type in, it would help me alot. (i understand systems are different) hopefully i can adapt it to my system settings.

cheers guys
