So far I haven't figure out how to get my SMC2662W v2 to work - according to the site linked above, it is possible to get working under linux, but I have no clue how to get it going...
Apparently the chipset is Atmel, something about using atmelwlandriver from http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/news.html, uses RFMD radio...??
I downloaded the linux drivers from SMC's site a while ago, but I think they need to be compiled etc... Do I really have to go to those lengths?

I had success compiling some of the Atmel drivers, but unfortunately for your situation, I was unsuccessful with the USB versions.
At least the information is there for you to try the compilation yourself.

Now that I have the full kernel source, and a recompiled kernel, I can compile the complete set of Atmel drivers.

pcmcia versions -
502rfmd
502rfmd revision d
502rfmd revision e
502 3COM
504
504+2958
504A+2958

usb versions -
503A RFMD
RFMD 505
RFMD 505 + 2958
RFMD 505A
RFMD 505A Maxim

1 miniPCI version.

I will try to work out how to make a mydsl package of these.  In the meantime email me if you want one.
