I'm trawling the net studying hardening my system & networking. I've got a desktop pc connected to the net via an Alcatel Speedtouch 330 usb modem. I aspire to plug a D-link DWL-900AP+ wap, into my desktop NIC, and then connect my desktop to my laptop (via D-link DWL-650+ pcmcia in laptop.) I'm TRAWLING through STACKS of EXCELLENT information (aboutdebian.com, NET3-4-HOWTO, Ethernet-HOWTO, Wireless-HOWTO, yolinux.com., etc., etc., etc., etc.) I am sure that I will eventually grasp it, however, I'd be very grateful if some folks would spare some concise words of wisdom on clarifying all this, sort of, in a nutshell, A plugs into B and connects via this file, B plugs into C and connects via this file. I am after an OVERview like explaining the principle/theory to an 8 year old, this would really help me along. P.s., I've no GUI installed (I'm aspiring to build a wireless community network.) BEST REGARDS
