And so I managed., unexpected but true. The thing is that the powerline adapter has been changed, so now I work with a normal connection and hub. But, I think this shouldn't even matter, which I will check later.

What I did was simple, I already knew something about the modprobe command, but not how to really use it. So, after a search on the web with the carddetails in my hand, I found some helpfull links which told me which driver to load. But, than it still wouldn't work

Another link told me to save the configuration in the bootup file, and thanks to other forum threads I managed to find out where the bootfile is, and how to change it.

These are the commands I have now put in the file (mp) /opt/bootlocal.sh

modprobe 3c509
ifconfig eht0 10.11.12.13
pump

And now it works fine. The machine seems only to be a bit unstable, and sometimes it stoppes responding, especially with heavier applications such as firefox and even with opera. So I have to test some older versions of DSL or simply to put some more ram in the machine?

Anyway, this was just the first one, more older and relatively newer machines are to follow suit, driven by DSL as a flying horse. Thanks.

Tanks

Had the same problem...

Solved by
"modprobe 3c509"
and
"Netcardconfig" Use DHCP bradcast = Yes
