Got DSL running from cd on my amd k6-2 300, but I'm having problems getting DSL to talk to the modem.  The system seems to see it. On the pci tab of System Stats, it shows up as:

0000:00:0b.0 Serial Controller: Rockwell International HCF 56k Data/Fax/Voice modem (rev 01).

In Dial-Up PPP set up, however, the system can't find the modem and the only choice I get is "Manual".

Windows sees the modem on Com 3. In the manual settings, I've tried every tty number from 0 to 15 and none of them seem to work.

The ppp messages box opens and it appears to be issuing commands, including "pppdial", but no modem sounds, no connection.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
