Quote (tempestuous @ Nov. 14 2005,01:34) | You must have Compaq's own Atheros-based wireless mini-PCI card. I know of other nc6000 owners with Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 mini-PCI cards.
The "ath0" interface is created by the MADWiFi ath_pci module, which DSL used to have, but no longer since version2.0. So you can probably use ndiswrapper. There's a setup gui for ndiswrapper in the DSLpanel. |
thanks for your reply
is there any reference for semi-dummies to go about using ndiwrapper? -- i understand is a tool to use the driver from the windows installed in the hard drive, is that correct?
i wonder, why would DSL stop including what seams to be the thing here (the MADWiFi ath_pci module) ? space? bugs? a better solution?
thanks! jaime
