I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the Networking forum but decided I'd try here first.  Please let me know if I should move it to the Networking forum.

I am relatively new to Linux and DSL but can usually find my own way through most problems.  This one has me stumped.  I have searched this and the Networking forums and haven't found anything quite like my issue, at least nothing I tried that was suggested helped.

I installed to my HD and also uninstalled and ran just from CD but both had the same issue.  Everything else seems to work just fine and I really like what I see, I just need to get to the internet and all will be great.

It seems DSL has no problem identifying my network adapter but it fails to connect to my network.

Here is what I have managed to put together for info to hopefully help some one help me figure this out:

Thinkpad DSL boot messages-no internet

Hoping some one can help me with this.  Thanks in advance.

A google says to try "acpi=off" as a boot option (So "dsl acpi=off *other options*")

Then give it a try.

Thanks, I will try this.

Can I ask 'exactly what' you googled?  I have the worst luck with doing google searches.  For some reason the way my brain works is different from the rest of the world and I have a tough time finding things with google searches.

Thanks, Chaostic.

That worked and I am actually posting this from the T22.  I have some tweeking to do but at least now I can do it with ease.  I clearly need to do some more reading as I have the DSL book and that option was in a list of things to 'exclude' during bootup but I managed to miss it.

Thanks again and I will also have to work on my Google skills. -duh, I really feel dumb sometimes.

Cheers.
