my apt-get is not working... tryed to install symantic so i could access all the cool apps that came with dsl... heres exactly what i typed (after getting root):
apt-get install symantic
then i got a few lines with the msg:
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg - open (2 no such file or directory) E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg), are you root?
@_@ now i tryed to go to the aforementioned dir, and it didnt exist after all... should i make one? yes i was root it may matter that the pc is not hooked up to the web in any way...? could someone help me out?
