You don't need a Debian CD to get binaries from their repositories. It's easier to use apt-get/synaptic (or the DSL repository, which I know has imagemagick) for that since different versions of those programs will have different sets of dependencies you'll have to fulfill. You can download .debs and install them locally, but you still have to meet dependencies.
