Other Help Topics :: mouse doesnt work right.  (the scroling weehl)

when i use firefox i get this

exec /usr/bin/X11/Xvesa -mouse "/dev/input/mice" -screen 1024x768x32 -shadow -nolisten tcp -I &>/dev/null

how can i edit this

.xserverrc, and every other file that begins with a dot, is a "hidden" file. In Emelfm, click the "H" button or press Ctrl+h to toggle view of hidden files.

I have no idea if adding ,5 after "/dev/input/mice" will fix it, bt i don't see how it could hurt.

As an aside, is there really any benefit to using usb mouse or keyboard? My personal experience has been that there is no performance improvement, and it just serves to waste a perfectly good USB port, particularly when the 2 ps/2 ports then just go to waste.

try editing command line using xterm

vi /home/dsl/.xserverrc

USB can have a higher response rate, leading to smoother frames, etc.

I think the max for ps/2 was 200-something Hz, while modern USB mice can go up to 1KHz (though I believe 500Hz is recommended).

Naturally, gamers, etc. would want something like this...

i did only found usb mise in the shop i bought the mouse(the mouse was verry cheap) and my brother needed a usb mouse for his laptop so bought 2 mise because i used to use a non-optical mouse
