Hi, ran DSL on several systems WAY back, fantastic.

Just came across this reboot via youtube Action Retro channel and thought I'd check it out since I have way too many old and older computers still around.

My question is, since this relies a lot on AntiX (yes?), what's the advantage of this vs. AntiX?   Is it mainly/only so it'll fit on a CD, vs. a DVD?

Thank you.

Well, I'd say that if you look at the announcement, keeping it under 700MB so you can burn it on a CD is one goal. As far as I know, AntiX doesn't specifically have that as a stated primary goal. Also, it seems like he's trying to make it even quicker than AntiX on old computers.

I love AntiX and MX, especially their live boot features (persistence is the best out there) and how quickly they install. I'm typing this on MX Linux on a Lenovo laptop in KDE, and I absolutely love it. I have some really old PCs in the garage, and I'd love to see how this runs on them. Additionally, if I can burn DSL to a USB, it will be interesting to see if it runs even better on the old EeePC 601 I have."

Thanks!   If I had my druthers, I'd prefer to see it renamed, something like DSL2, or DSL reboot so clear this isn't your grandfather's :) DSL...  :)
