Apt Upgrade issues HP Mini

Tried
apt update
apt upgrade

I noticed that the the icons on the EXIT menu were now colored button instead of grey squares.

I could not longer could start the terminal. from the status line.
It would open from inside the file Manager.

Restarted and investigating with only update no upgrade.

I just ran this though on a qemu image and didn't have the error you described. Is this running from a hard drive installation? Did you run the file restoration script first. I will do more testing and see if can duplicate this problem.

I tried to duplicate your error on a hard drive install and I am not able to see it. I am wondering if it has to do with you editing your apt source list? Do you mind trying again from a clean install?
