Short answer, yes it's possible.  You should have a copy of the antiX FAQ at /usr/share/antiX/FAQ -- if not (this means you need to do the DSL File Restore), go to upstream FAQ and read about Remastering and Persistence.

Fastest/easiest is to just use the existing image and create live usb from that using usb maker tools in control center (look under Disks).  If it's not in the control center (not there, now), look for "usb" in /usr/local/bin and you'll see what's there (need to run as root, BTW).  If, OTOH, you need to use Windows, you could look on YT say here

Beyond that, there are many, many paths and all depend on what you have (UEFI/legacy) and what you want (persistent/not/frugal/blah blah).  See also relevant YT examples (older version but applicable) from upstream MX dev nymmed dolphinoracle.  Or just look through the whole list and see if there's something newer/more applicable.

There are no other distros that offer the variety of configurations/options that antiX/MX/DSL present -- the details can matter so read a bit and look on the antiX forum, too.  Many people "live" like that.

If you want a custom image as opposed to the "as-shipped" image, the basic process is to remaster first, then create a live usb with persistence.  Thereafter, periodic remastering of your live usb will need to happen (for space reasons) to run that way.  Again, many people at the antiX forum have run that way for years by choice.  It's just a set of squash files and the periodic remastering happens to your persistence file.  There are remastering and kernel-upgrading on usb vids there, too.  If those don't get you what you need, let us know.
