Just came across this reboot via youtube Action Retro channel and thought I'd check it out since I have way too many old and older computers still around.
My question is, since this relies a lot on AntiX (yes?), what's the advantage of this vs. AntiX? Is it mainly/only so it'll fit on a CD, vs. a DVD?
Thank you.

You're right — the new DSL does build on AntiX as a base. The key differences lie in DSL’s focus on extreme minimalism and size. While AntiX is already lightweight, DSL aims to push that further — keeping it under 700MB to ensure it fits on a CD, with a streamlined set of apps and an interface tailored for very old hardware. Think of it as an ultra-trim remix optimized for legacy systems.
