I am getting Zathura with a black screen, it does not load any file.

Start it by hand in a terminal and let us know the output, eg:

/usr/bin/zathura <your_file.pdf> &

We don't know what you're running, what it's running on, and more importantly, what you did to fix the original black screen issue.

Actually so far it is working with pdfs, can I make it work with epubs?

What is the best option to read epubs in dsl?
Thanks

Looks like it, but not quick & easy and potentially conflicts with existing. For now, easiest/fastest way is to just load a new reader--mupdf is tiny/fast like zathura.

sudo apt-get install mupdf mupdf-tools

It tells me that "Package mupdf-tools is not available". Where can I get the right download file?

Thanks for your attention

It's there.  Hard to help not knowing what you're working with.  Are you working from a live disc?  You would need to either install or make a persistent live USB first.

In case it was a typing issue on a HD installation, you can use the antiX installer tool to search and load it to be sure. Also, if installed, have you completed the DSL File Restore (middle of menu)? Do that as well. Back to mupdf:

sudo cli-aptiX

accept the update

do any necessary upgrades

then search for packages and type

mupdf*

and it should find the 4 packages that match that.

select the packages by number and then install them.

Sorry, I am running a HD installation.
I have installed the 4 packages, now how can I run it? I can not find it in any menu.

OK good to hear. You only needed mupdf and mupdf-tools and you could uninstall the debug symbols (the other 2) if you like. Welcome Smile
