I started in the world of computers on a Sinclair ZX81 (I still have it). Well to cut a long story short it went ZX81>VIC20>BBC 32k>AmstradPC.... So I guess you could say I worked my way up although with XP I feel its starting to go downhill. Anyway, I have tried numerous versions of Linux, could never get to grips with it, I guess us old DOS guys are just like that... well I am anyway. BUT............ DSL looks like its the one that is going to help me get away from Gate's bloated OS and all the problems that go with it. Well done... my hat is off to you all. Of course I have a million and one questions but I am going to see if I can get into DSL to the point where its the main machine and not just a VM.
BTW....The notes that come up when I first run DSL about drives and how they are mounted was excellent, finally I understand the situation. Its not like I am a slow learner.... just that old habits die hard.
