OK,
Here is how to make it work with "LinNeighborhood" from the samba.dsl extension:
1) Get the workgroup name, computer name, ip address, etc using the methods mentioned above. 2) Start LinNeighborhood. 3) Push the "Add" button. 4) Fill in the following. computer name = "machine", workgroup name = "group", ip address = "ip-address" and press the OK button. 5) The computer name will appear in the LinNeighborhood window. Right-click on the computer name. 6) Choose "scan as user" from the context menu. 7) Fill in the following. workgroup name = "domain", user name = "username", password = "password" and press the OK button. 8) Your shared folders and printers should appear. 10) To mount one of them, select it and press the "Mount" button and answer the prompts. 11) The new mount should appear in your home directory. In other words, /home/dsl/mnt/COMPUTERNAME/SHARENAME
Good Luck.
