meo, Lets recap, your posts are very strongly negative, "from impossible to mount", to "can't save settings", to "can't have a clean desktop". Three posts in three topics. All very "loaded" not a single one framed as a question. Given the information posted I could not reproduce your error. I actually, had to follow you in all three topics and stopped what I was working on and tried booting several ways, no errors When in the thread about saving settings, I question you about what's different, you tell me that you are running a remaster. So of course, since I cannot reproduce the error, I am going to assume its the remaster. All three posts are related to a base problem. Now the "qemu" option was made for BIOS booting off the pendrive to recognize the Qemu environment. Quite frankly, I have never even attempted to run the system in which you are attempting. And none of your initial posts indiciated how you were attempting to run the system. I am not a mind reader. I can tell you the only change in 1.1 was to try to allow permission of user dsl to the virtual drive when booting from pendrive via BIOS. So an unintended use of DSL, i.e., the way that you are attempting, may have been impacted. Now that I finally have the specifics, I will investigate.
May this be an example to all, there are so many ways to run/install/configure DSL that when one experiences a problem, it is always best to disclose as much information as possible. What version, how installed, how booted, what options, etc. Doing an open source project is many times a thankless task with everyone never satisfied always demanding more, all I ask is to please show a little respect by framing your post as a question and not post inflammatory or otherwise "loaded" posts and in multiple topics.
I think we all want DSL to succeed, in order to this to happen, in order for "bugs" to be fixed. it does no good to make generalized statements of failure without the specifics.
