Virtual Terminal Verdict :
/home/damnsmall/.bash_profile /home/damnsmall/.bashrc /etc/bashrc
I deleted all .* files in the /home/damnsmall , ever since I lost my virtual terminals.
The real responsible is bashrc in /etc dir! There you see that V-terminals are created. But you have to call it the profile with .bash_profile, which calls .bashrc, who calls /etc/bashrc!
There is nog startx whatsoever in .bash_profile still when the pc boots F2 = X , F1 = X output. After an X-kill (ctrl+alt+Bkspc), you get your 4 terminals as defined in inittab.
Relauncing startx, puts the X on F5 , while you have yer 4 Virtual Terminals.
