Download and create a dos 6.22 bootdisk from http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm; boot with it, make a 55-60 MB partition with fdisk and format it with "format c: /S" (without quotes). Then you should have a c: partition.

You have to use some (zip?) utility that splits the KNOPPIX file into floppy sized chunks (15-20 of them), copy them over and finally reassemble them into the KNOPPIX file.
