If you are using the default backup options in .filetool.lst and .xfiletool.lst,
it should be backing up the majority of the contents of your /home/dsl dir.

Within it should be your /home/dsl/.xserverrc file, which contains your new
mouse setup, generated from the xsetup.sh file.

DSL usually picks up your backup.tar.gz file automatically at boottime,
unless you have multiple copies in your filesystems.
Then it might pick up the wrong one first..

Try adding the backup option at boottime to yor startup options.
"  restore=hdXx "

i.e  " dsl dma toram restore=hda3 mydsl=hda3 host=ke4nt_laptop1 secure "

Thanks ke4nt.

Here is xsetup after running "dsl xsetup" at boot screen:

exec /usr/bin/X11/Xvesa -mouse /dev/input/mice,5 -screen 1024x768x24 -shadow -nolisten tcp -I &>/dev/null

Is it possible to default boot to detect whatever mouse I have connected - including of course USB mouse. And set UK english keyboard.

I would also like to boot from floppy but load from USB, by default?

I'm quite new to linux but I love the damn small linux live cd's.
I live in Belgium so I use an azerty keyboard. When I use DSL I have to switch it from qwerty to azerty or latin-be. In the earlier versions I could easily do that but the last two or three versions don't seem to switch: the setup shows azerty is the lay-out I'm using, whatever I type it still comes out as qwerty.
What can I do about this?
