Since I use DSL everyday, its very important I have flash player plugin for FF. However, I downloaded and installed the latest flashplayer, to the T. However In FF I still get the "You need to install plugins" message. I went over too whatsmyip.org and it said I have the flash plugin for FF after I ran the check. Im using FF 1.0.6, as DSL won't let me install 2.0

Did you install flash 7?  Some sites require flash 9 (which I hear isn't too stable yet, and requires gtk2)

You'll need to install gtk2 if you want to use flash 9.
A future version of Opera might support flash 9 without needing gtk2, but at this point it seems that you need firefox+gtk2 (although it's still not entirely stable even then)
