Quote (Smartjak @ Dec. 13 2004,19:44) | I'm new to DSL but not to Linux. But this distro has blown me away. Great for low powered and hi powered machines. Now about Gaim. I download it and an icon apears but it does not connect. I did the same with Firefox 10. Firefox worked when I used the older version. But I don't see one for Gaim. Will installing gnu-utils.dsl first make Gaim work? By the way Iwant to do a HD install.
Smartjak (new to dsl) Thanks. |
You may want to try just downloading Gaim again. Gaim works just fine on my computer (I'm using 0.9.0.1 with an hd-install). The way I get mine to work is by getting into the MyDSL repository through the DSL site (using dillo) and saving the gaim.dsl in /home . Then I use Emelfm to load the .dsl using the myDSL button.
Enjoy DSL
