Yeah, "stop them viruses". That's why everyone is trying to get DSL running on their school/library computers. :laugh:

This seams to be growing into a challenge... Try naming your bat file to ###.xxx, Just maybe windows will ask you what you want to do with it, and offer to run it.

If Excel is loaded you may also be able to call it through a VB script.

Wow! Found the solution, at least for me:

It integrates QEMU, kqemu and qvm86 in one bundle.

The host is a pathetic Win98 whose command line stack has been blown away to avoid custom scripts, but the qemu manager handles it beautifully.

If I can find one defect is that the manager says that kqemu is enabled while 'info kqemu' says it is disabled, but maybe this is a specific issue with win98, I'll probably post on the Qemu forum or the dev-mailing list.

Now I feel like replacing the standard qemu on the memory stick and try this manager with WinXp and see if I have any improvements.

I lauch dsl-windows.bat from Windows Explorer. If you can't get an explorer window just open the save or open menu from any program they let you use and use that to explore to your DSL folder then just right-click or double click to start DSL.

If the admins have removed cmd.exe from the system then put a copy of from your home computer in the same folder as your DSL.
