is not a great problem,but.....all versions of dsl have this problem!

They are all located in /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/it-ibm.kmap.gz
/usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/it.kmap.gz
/usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/it2.kmap.gz

If hard drive installed, you should be able to add the command loadkeys to /opt/bootlocal.sh, for example to use it2.kmap.gz you would add the following:

loadkeys it2

Reboot to be sure
or at the minimum exit from X windows,
type loadkeys it2
startx
