i think crazy the idea of reparing a windows registry with linux. And something else, I you change a ntfs file system to fat32  you loose all your datas because its like formating. yes its a good way to replace a win registry with a brand new one...Linux it able to write into a nt partition, there are tools for that, as long as its not a XPWin ntfs. And the tools are free. To write into a XP ntfs, there are tools too but they arent free.
