OK, i just got my Lucent modem today, installed it and.....I don't know what to do. I have DSL 1.9? (the previous version) 2 modems installed: --Lucent Microelectronics V.92 56K WinModem (rev 03) --U.S. Robotics: Unknown device 2f00 (rev 1)
I ran scanmodem on EmelFM and this is what it told me:.......
UPDATE=2005_Oct_31 cat: /etc/issue: No such file or directory cat: /etc/issue: No such file or directory grep: /boot/config*: No such file or directory ./scanmodem: line 1: gcc: command not found PCIBUS=000:00:09.0 000:00:08.0 Providing detail for device at 000:00:09.0 with vendor-ID:device-ID ----:---- Class 0780: 11c1:048c Communication controller: Lucent Microelectronics V.92 56K WinModem (rev 03) SubSystem 11c1:044c Lucent Microelectronics: Unknown device 044c Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 66, IRQ 5 -----PCI_IDs----- --CompilerVer- Feature list: Primary Subsystem Distr KernelVer kernel default CPU ./scanmodem test 11c1:048c 11c1:044c debian 2.4.26 2.95.4 none i586 Providing detail for device at 000:00:08.0 with vendor-ID:device-ID ----:---- Class 0780: 16ec:2f00 Communication controller: U.S. Robotics: Unknown device 2f00 (rev 1) SubSystem 16ec:010a U.S. Robotics: Unknown device 010a Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 3 -----PC IDs-------CompileVer- Feature List: Primary Subsystem Distr KernelVer kernel default CPU ./scanmodem test 16ec:2f00 16ec:101a debian 2.4.26 2.95.4 none i586 grep: /etc/issue: No such file or directory grep: /etc/issue: No such file or directory ----end of output----
Plus I know that 2.0 has more support for Lucent modems and I had the 2.0 candidate CD around here, but i can't find it. I'm going to download it later, whenever i have the time, so i was just wondering if the previous version of DSL-1.9 would support my Lucent Modem
